Rules for using Knoxville Telugu Association’s public website and any optional sign-in features we make available. This deployment does not sell memberships or collect payments online.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

By using this website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These Terms are provided for transparency and do not replace advice from your own attorney. Questions: knoxtelugu@gmail.com.

1. Organization and mission

Knoxville Telugu Association (KTA) is a volunteer-led nonprofit community association. The website shares information about programs, events, leadership, and ways to participate. Nothing on the site is a promise of a specific tax outcome; consult a tax professional regarding deductions.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information in forms and, if you use them, in any account profile fields.
  • Keep login credentials confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Use the site lawfully and respectfully—no harassment, fraud, scraping that harms our systems, or attempts to bypass security.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the community, subject to any rights you have under applicable law.

3. Optional accounts

We may offer optional sign-in (for example through a third-party authentication provider) to access member tools when those features are enabled. Account features may change over time. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you show it was compromised without your fault.

See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data tied to your account.

4. Memberships, dues, and donations (current site)

This public deployment does not offer online membership checkout, recurring billing, or donation payment forms. Community participation, sponsorships, and any financial arrangements are handled through the leadership team, published instructions for specific events, or other channels we communicate directly—not through payment fields on this website unless we explicitly say otherwise in a future update.

If we add online payments or subscriptions later, we will update these Terms and provide clear disclosures at the point of purchase. Until then, do not treat this site as a payment portal.

5. Events, programs, and volunteering

Schedules, venues, and program details may change. Confirm important information with organizers. Sports and festival activities involve inherent risks; participation is at your own judgment and subject to any rules or waivers we or host venues require.

6. Third-party services

The site may rely on hosting, authentication, email, or analytics vendors with their own terms and privacy policies. Your use of those services may be subject to their agreements in addition to ours.

7. Intellectual property

Text, graphics, logos, and other content on this site are owned by KTA or our licensors unless noted. You may not copy or exploit them commercially without permission, except for fair personal use such as sharing links to our public pages.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, KTA and its volunteers and directors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, or for any amount exceeding one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) in the aggregate for claims relating to this site in the twelve months before the claim, if no separate fee applies.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify KTA against claims arising from your misuse of the site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of others’ rights, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Knox County, Tennessee (or the appropriate federal court sitting there) shall have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes, unless a different forum is required by law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change, and continued use after posting may constitute acceptance of material changes where permitted by law.
